Pre-built Web Design Templates?

We are award winning, skilled, experienced, web design professionals. Unless specifically requested, we do not use pre-built templates for our clients' web sites.

Many (so called) web designers simply purchase existing generic web design templates, mark them up dramatically, and sell them back to you for a large profit.

These pre-built web design templates are not branded like your existing business designs, such as your business colours, logo, business cards, letterhead, etc. They do not match the creative design you've already poured your heart into. Since they have their own look and feel, they are not an online extension of your local business.

Many small businesses fall for these (so called) web designers because they offer a lower price for their product. They promise a spectacular web site at a low price.

• Isn't it true that you get what you pay for?

This is the unfortunate process used by many of our competitors:

• Offer a deal which seems too good to be true
• Identify your industry
• Search for pre-built website templates in your industry
• Provide a few of these templates as samples
• Purchase the selected website template for $50-$60
• Paste your page content into the template
• Sell the filled-in website template back to your for close to $1,000
• Collect a nice profit for a few hours of work

Here is what many competitors will not tell you about pre-built website templates:

• Most pre-built web sites (especially Flash) cannot be indexed by Google. This means that they will not be included in Google's search results, and will not receive many visitors.
• Many visitors will be frustrated by the long load time of (especially Flash) pre-built templates. These visitors will likely click away from the site instead of reading it.
• After the pre-built web site is online, it is very difficult to modify. If the (so called) designer bought a 5 page pre-built template and you need a sixth page, tough luck.
• The business may become very embarrassed in the future when they (and their visitors) realize that their web site is not an original.
